Poker, not just a matter of luck

Poker is a game of guts, instinct, intelligence and skill. There is a quality however which is essential to becoming a winning poker player, whether playing poker online, at home with friends or in a casino: Discipline.

Discipline is a must. The dicipline to be patient and wait for a good hand is key. Patience is also needed in order to be in the hand only after you’ve aquired sufficient information pertaining to your fellow player(s) playing habbits. Discipline is also imperative in the case of a bad hand; the decision to fold can often be a difficult one, but can ultimatly save you money at the tables.
